New Textile Glossaries Are Now Part Of The Expanded FabricLink Network
Tarzana, CA - The FabricLink Network, with nearly a thousand pages of educational information on each of two websites, FabricLink.com (trade-to-consumer) and TheTechnicalCenter.com (trade-to-trade), launches new Textile Glossaries. These new features are added to the plethora of educational information that has made FabricLink and TheTechnicalCenter two of the most bookmarked and visited textile education websites on the Internet.
The FabricLink Network has always been known for its rich content. But now, one of the most frequently visited areas of both websites, the ‘Dictionaries' section, in the left-hand navigation, will be a pinnacle resource for even more educational information.
"We are pleased to be able to incorporate new Glossaries, developed by the California Fashion Association (CFA) and the National Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD), into the FabricLink Network. The new Glossaries expand the valuable resources already available on our sites," states Kathy Swantko, president of the FabricLink Network. "These Glossaries are also just two of several new additions we're currently planning!"
CFA's Glossary of International Trade Terms and a The Glossary of Environmental Issues along with NAUMD's Uniform Glossary have been added to the already popular ‘Textile Dictionary', ‘Performance Fabric Glossary', and the fun and witty ‘Fabricisms' in the ‘Dictionaries' section of both network sites.
CFA, an organization dedicated to promoting the global recognition of the ‘Created in California' image, is known to be a clearinghouse for textile/apparel information. (www.CalFashion.org) Its purpose is to generate international trade, interact with state and federal agencies, and promote inter-industry networking. The ‘International Trade Terms Glossary', which covers issues like CAFTA, CBI, NAFTA, as well as everything in between and beyond, is of great value for companies working in, or researching opportunities within the international market.
The second Glossary from CFA, the ‘Glossary of Environmental Issues', is an essential resource for those invested in preserving the earth, while creating an environmentally friendly planet now and for future generations. From organic cotton fields to the laboratories, to the retail floor, CFA's ‘Glossary of Environmental Issues' is a window into the complexities with which to view the environmental footprints we leave and the social responsibilities they represent.
Important to the uniform and career apparel market, comes the ‘Uniform Glossary' from NAUMD. This source of information relates to fibers/yarns, fabrics, dyeing & finishing, garment construction, and a ‘Glossary of Care Instruction Terms' (http://www.fabriclink.com/Care/Home.cfm,) to assist consumers in reading the labels and properly caring for Career Apparel and Uniforms in order to maximize the life of their garments. All of these new resources are available on the open framework of both FabricLink.com and TheTechnicalCenter.com. Check out these resources, and become more informed on a variety of fabric related topics.
