Accotex Cots & Aprons

Source: Day International, Inc.
Accotex Cots and Aprons run long-even on the toughest engineered fibers under the most severe spinning room conditions.
Accotex Cots and Aprons meet rigid test procedures in order to maintain the strict tolerances mills require. Advanced polymeric technology means maximum fiber control. Accotex Cots and Aprons run long-even on the toughest engineered fibers under the most severe spinning room conditions.

Pressfit Cots

A unique synthetic rubber composition is vulcanized to an aluminum core. Runs virtually tensionless while ensuring a secure fit on the arbor. Near-zero stress on the outer surface eliminates losses due to splitting.

Easifit Cots
Another labor-saving Accotex development. No adhesives-just press onto the roll. Ideal for rolls that do not have exacting tolerances.

Lined Cots

Created especially for carpet yarn spinning and draw frames. Lined cots are designed to withstand dynamic stresses and heat buildup on the cot-to arbor bond. Maintains a strong bond with the arbor to reduce slippage.

Feature an exclusive factory-applied adhesive system. Press onto the roller which has had a fresh layer of glue applied to it. These conventional cots are designed for most short-staple spinning and roving applications.

Feature Accotex's three-layer "sandwich" construction. A tough reinforcement cord between two layers of synthetic compound ensures a smooth, seamless apron that won't stretch or curl. Applications include short & long staple spinning and roving, air jet spinning, texturing and carpet yarn. Advanced materials technology results in excellent resistance to tearing & abrasion and ozone and flex cracking. Every Apron receives a special Accotex surface treatment to enhance frictional characteristics to achieve the required coefficient of friction.
